This program is a socialization and community inclusive program for individuals with developmental disabilities and cognitive impairments. The Adventure Club focuses on socialization and activities that provide the opportunity to practice daily living skills and adaptive living skills. Some of the activities and events took place at The Arc Downriver. Activities include cooking, crafts, games, and Club meetings that involve problem solving and making choices. The participants also go out into the community for the opportunity to interact with the non-disabled and practice social skills in natural settings. They go to theaters and restaurants, sporting events, local cultural events, seasonal programs, and dances. Community outings are offered both weekdays and weekends.
